Tag Markings -

      For products meeting only U.S. requirements, Tag markings are in accordance with the marking section of UL 758, the FUII , the Addendum and any requirements on the style page.

For products meeting only Canadian requirements, Tag markings shall have the following legible and durable markings:

(a) the manufacturer’s name, trade name, or other recognized symbol of identification;(b) the manufacturer’s identifying marker, if threads are used;

(c) the month and year of manufacturer;

(d) the size(s)(AWG or kcmil) of the conductors;

(e) the number of conductors;

(f) the type of conductor(if other than uncoated copper);

(g) “I” for Class I or “II”, or “I/II” for Class II, as applicable;

(h) “A” for Group A, “B” for Group B, or “A/B” for a product in both groups, as applicable;

(i) “wet” or “oil” or “fuel oil”, as applicable;

(j) the temperature rating (e.g., “80C”);

(k) the voltage rating (e.g., “150V”);

(l) limited use for internal wiring of electronic equipment and appliances (Class I only);

(m) the low temperature rating if below -15C (e.g., “-20C”, “-30C”, or “-40C”); and

(n) the dc resistance value (for resistance wire only).
